About Us
This website has been set up by a group of mothers in Northern Ireland, all of whom have been affected in some way by Group B Strep. It is in support of the UK charity, GBSS, who are campaigning to have a reliable test for Group B Strep offered routinely to all pregnant women.
Recently, a petition requesting this test be given, was delivered to 10 downing street by GBSS along with a selection of polititians. Unfortunately this request has been turned down, but the campaign continues. In any case, we as residents of Northern Ireland will need to campaign separately to have the test offered to pregnant women here.
