This website has been set up by a group of mothers in Northern Ireland, all of whom have been affected in some way by Group B Strep. It is in support of the UK charity, GBSS, who are campaigning to have a reliable test for Group B Strep offered routinely to all pregnant women.
Recently, a petition requesting this test be given, was delivered to 10 downing street by GBSS along with a selection of polititians. However, should this request be granted in England, we as residents of Northern Ireland will still have to campaign to have the test offered to pregnant women here.
